Il nido, che contiene in media un centinaia di uova, sar\u00e0 monitorato fino alla schiusa delle uova.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Esso si trova sotto la sabbia, a poca profondit\u00e0 dalla superficie, solitamente nel punto pi\u00f9 lontano dal mare ed \u00e8 proprio il calore della sabbia a permettere la nidificazione delle uova.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Il 2023 \u00e8 stato l&#8217;anno con il maggior numero di nidificazioni mai registrato sulle spiagge italiane, il triplo dell&#8217;anno precedente ed anche il 2024 ha registrato numeri da record. <\/p>\r\n<p>Non \u00e8 difficile riconoscere un nido di tartaruga caretta, in quanto le tracce lasciate dalla femmina, somigliano alle impronte lasciate dalla ruota di un piccolo trattore che compie un percorso di andata e ritorno, larga dai 60 ai 100 cm.
